The role of an infra-red transmitter is to convert channels of a digital conference and interpretation system and/or analog interpretation system as well as external analog signals to a signal that is further spread throughout space using infra-red radiators.

The IRIS digital transmitter is an infra-red transmitter of a completely new generation. Each channel is on its own capable of processing input signals using 24-bit A/D converters. Each channel has its own processor and a special synthesis for processing digital audio data.
